AFL UMPIRING
Jeff Geischen should get a written warning from the AFL, if not lose his job for the 180 degree turnaround seen this week on holding the ball decisions. Last week you only had to go near the ball to be pinged, this week umpires flat out refused to make a decision, choosing to throw the ball up at every opportunity, even when Blind Jimmy sitting in the back row of the Ponsford stand could see a holding the ball decision. Gieschen will say no such directive was given, but this is total bullshit. Either way he has to go. How are the players supposed to know how to play the fucking game if the rules change so dramatically in ONE week. He was a disgraceful coach of footballers and a woeful one of umpires.

Unleash the Giesch you say?
Apparently he gave the umps a dressing down for the poor round one showing.
Bring back Peter Schwab!
Why doesn't Derryck Humphrey-Smith put his hand up, even he wrote that Round.1 was over afficiated, however he said mistakes were made, they've been rectified and now it's time to move on.
He's not so forgiving when it comes to umpire bashing. He should say, the umpire was a disgrace, James Hird was right to call him a dickhead, he apologized - move on.
