AFL TEAMS RORTING THE SALARY CAP

This is news is it? I thought it's been common knowledge for years that players are raking in cash over and above the salary cap at their club. Didn't Peter Bell get a McDonald's franchise for returning to Freo? Wasn't Darren Jarman the highest paid cleaning man in Hawthorn history?
As usual, the AFL will deny all knowledge of it and pretend it isn't happening.

This would relate to Grant Yhomas' startling revelations I presume? He has rattled a few cages this year, but yes Demetriou will come out with his usual spiel.

They have caught teams out before, shit even Collingwood came forward when the teams could come clean. I've got no idea how a team near the bottom of the ladder payed over the salary cap but we managed to.

Eddie has been going on for years about Brisbane getting an extra $600K to keep players from going home - funny how most went to Vossy and he comes from Qld anyway. It's good to hear you back up Eddie for a change. Very refreshing!
