Are they fucking crazy not taking the deal the AFL are offering? It would make them an absolute powerhouse in the competition. Wads of cash, draft concessions, salary cap concessions for the next few years, what more do they want?
The AFL are like Leo Getz from Lethal Weapon, because whatever Leo wants, Leo Getz. Either Nth will move or they'll die and be forced to merge within 5 years. Then, like Fitzroy supports they'll stop following the game and their mutilated team, until of course they start winning grand finals. Watch them swarm out in more numbers than bothered to show up for their life saving meeting last night, 2800, what a blight on the club, that only that many people bothered showing up to try and save their club.
No other club or supporters would lose any sleep if the Roos went out of existence tomorrow, sadly it appears neither would most of their supporters.

You're right Bowie, James Brayshaw put a bullet into the head of the club with his stubborness and refusal to see reality.
I was sad and angry when Fitzroy got the boot, but they never had an offer to get out and prosper on their own, I for one will be glad to never hear the word "shinboner" again in a few years time.
Funny how the Shinboner Of The Century has played a huge part in the death of the so called beloved shinboner spirit.
I think it might have been a case of "beware of the greek bearing gifts"!
I went to the Hawthorn V North final earlier this year and had the pleasure of sitting next to their cheersquad. It was great to see the crowd was made up of 80% Hawks supporters seeing one of norths last ever finals games. It was also interesting to see their cheersquad most of whom were well over 60 (one guy was on a respirator) and I doubt they can carry the team for much longer. Also the comments emanating from said cheersquad re: Trent Croad being a junkie when they have Aaron Edwards in their forward line (they didn't like being reminded of this, or being told that they were moving to the gold coast). Good riddance to bad rubbish I say, the sooner the better. I just wish that Fitzroy had gotten the same opportunities to move and reestablish themselves.
I don't think any team that starts it's theme song with "Out they come, out they come, out they come, they're gay, just for recreations sake, to pass the time away!"
I mean all North are good at is ganging up and picking on hot dog vendors when the guy won't hand over all his hot dogs to Fridge Roberts.
