Is there anyone who doesn't think that the corrupt and unjust Chinese government didn't pay the IOC a massive sum of money to ensure the Games went to Beijing? They had no stadiums, ongoing human rights abuses (50 people a day being murdered by their government) and a disgustingly huge pollution problem.
All things being equal, surely those 3 things should've ruled China out of hosting the Games for a long long time, yet it appears you can buy anything as long as you have the cash.
