DICK OR NO DICK?

Fair dinkum the amount of hysteria over Andrew O'Keefe's binge has been over the top in the extreme. Let's face facts, the guy is an absolute light-weight of the entertainment industry. The fact that he's 7's biggest star says more about the network than anything else. It's not like it was Bert or Ray caught out. Yes he was spastically drunk, but he didn't get in a fight, didn't smash anyone and didn't do any harm to anyone else. You Tube is probably full of this kind of shit and is certainly not worth $25k. I thought Channel 7 paid the money to keep it out of the public eye, so how did it end up everywhere yesterday?
The answer to the question - Dick!

This is plain voyeurism by the Hun, and it really is useless journalism. Countless people crawl the gutters after becoming drunk by those scourges of society, nightclubs. Has a more useless and destructive institution ever been invented than them? They accept young people's money, fill them with all the piss in the world, allow drugs and whatever on their premises, and when people ultimately either pass out or get too loud and violent for their liking, or run out of money, they are pushed onto the street for a poor taxi driver to take them home, often by them they are angry, upset and just out of it. Nightclubs are the 21st century version of the coal factories of the industrial revolution, they create social pollution and do absolutely nothing to address it.

Perhaps they shosuld be charged a massive rate slug for the fact that they, not the local corner drapery or innocent shoe shop, create 80% of the damage and clean-up requirements by any city. Their patrons piss on walls, defacate, vomit and generally make pigs of themselves after getting drunk in these nightclubs. And they think they are businesses that have a positive impact in the city? Bah, nightclubs are a disease on society, and a pox on all who sail in them.

Terrific first sentence Dave. Second sentence mmm maybe. A bit down hill after that - perhaps spending a bit more time in them during your youth may have changed view.

Back to the topic - pretty much the same could be said about any football player out on the town (well Pie, Blues or Hawks players any way). Just the Hun cheap tabloidery.
