SOMETHING I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED
When you're on a plane and it lands, why does everyone leap out of their seats as soon as the seatbelt light goes off? Is it a race? All you win is bonus 5 minutes to stand still, awkwardly holding your carry-on luggage until they get the door open. I just don't get it.

I agree. The worst flights are Monday mornings to Melbourne or Sydney where every man and their dog carry hand luggage looking for an early getaway - alas it never works out that way as everyone has to wait for everyone else to get their bags, especially those clowns who turn up late and have to put their bags nowhere near where they're sitting.
Best to sit down and relax for 5 minutes.
