I'm sure Dean Laidley would've been overjoyed to read they'll be cracking out the cheque book to get Bucks to coach the Roos. I reckon he would've been told constantly how tight things were around the place when it came to his own contract.
Why would Buckley (or anyone) want to go to this club anyway, you don't know if you'd be playing out of Melbourne within 2-3 years or even if they'll be in existence? They have no supporters, no chance of getting new ones, crap facilities and a second rate CEO (remember the pies fired him).
North Western Sydney Kangaroos has a ring to it, a crappy one, like everything about the club.

Yes, they are a bit like a minority group. Not many people care but gee they get looked after.
I can't wait for the day Brayshaw has to front a press conference and admit he screwed up by not accepting the Gold Coast offer.
Hey Bowie, terrific blog - where's your view on kids being allowed in parliament?
I hate the Kangaroos - Shinboner spirit my arse.
The only team I hate more is Essendon and they might be alright when Lloyd retires.
Very spirited there Waxy - hate is such a strong word but it's in perfect context when used in your sentance.
Other than the 15 odd thousand people who are real North supporters, the axing of their team will bring a lot of joy to football in general.
Hey Bowie, perhaps if people could put on your site their whinges in another section it could get the popularity this site deserves. I know it's your blog but people are probably a little stifled in that if they don't have anything to add to your beefs then they say nothing at all - just a thought.
Keep up the good work.
I will not lose a wink of sleep the day North dies, and I doubt 99% of the non North supporters out there could give two hoots about them either.
Mind you, Fitzroy had never been more popular when Brisbane started winning flags - it's amazing how you conveniently forget history when the team that destroyed yours starts winning GF's.
Which did/do you prefer?
The North Melbourne Football Show as it is now, or the show formerly known as The Collingwood Football Show?
I can recollect the following instances where North have been involved;
Simpson & Pratt with Chicken-Gate
Wayne Carey interview
Dean Laidley interview
James Brayshaw’s bar along stunt being in the cheer squad this weekend which had to involve getting two blokes from the cheer squad on the show.
There could be others but if the season has gone 12 weeks, 25% of their shows have involved North – one of the smallest supported teams in the league.
Why isn’t Brayshaw copping the “Eddie Everywhere” treatment?
