I was saddened to hear of the news of the passing of 'celebrity DJ' DJ AM, until I realised I had no idea who the fuck he was and resumed eating my Weet Bix.

Wasn't he Nicole Richards ex? The DJ'ing world would be in mourning but his fans are probably alseep from doing too many drugs and staying up too late on weekends to notice.
I think the last thing he did of note was surviving a plane crash with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker a couple of years ago. I can confirm he was Nicole Richie's ex, and he had a guest role on the episode of Entourage where Turtle was trying to get a pair of those new shows that were exclusive.
