The groundswell starts here - Michael Clarke should not be captain of Australia in any form of the game, ever. His form is too inconsistent, nevermind his off-field crap and his lame tatts.
I can't fathom how he's even in the 20/20 team, much less be Captain, he's the weak link in the top 6 batsmen, he doesn't have the game to be a 20/20 player.
He's the only one being talked up because there is no-one else in the frame. Ponting will play another 2-3 years, surely someone will bob up by then.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying - lame tatts (that should count against him for a start). I too can't understand why he is in the 20/20 side, his stodgy play doesn't fit the style and their are plenty of better options e.g. Hodge, Pomersbach, Cooper, Hughes, Bailey, Finch, Paine for starters.
I'll disagree about his consistency at Test level. His record stands up pretty well I think. Compare it to Mark Waugh's for example.
At this stage, for mine he is clearly the next test Captain mainly because there aren't any other likely's Hussey, Haddin and Katich are to old. White isn't even in the team (he should be skipper of the 20/20 team though).
No doubt about his tattoos, they're very much out of place on a snow white skinny guy who looks as tough as poodle.
His decision making must be questioned though because nobody in their right mind would want to marry a bird that Fev has had his hands and other body parts all over.
He's looking a bit better now. Classy press conference and a 168.
Surprising that Bowie hasn't commented on the new footy season.......
Here's a few thoughts from me on the upcoming year;
1. Watch out foor the Pies. For once they recruited players from other clubs that were not just discards.
2. carlton are screwed - they bowed to public opinion on got rid of the only thing outside of Judd worth having on the team (apologies Gibbs and Murph). Why pick now to have some moral fibre Carlton?
3. New coach but same old shit at Richmond.
4. I feel sorry for the best young talent always ending up at Melbourne.
5. I think Port will have a good year but the Crows will slip.
6. Ablett is gooooonnnnneee!
I acn't be bothered with any others but I hope Jonathon Brown accidentally flattens Fevola and breaks that huge chin of his - boy that would be funny!
