Why should she get the arse from her current job because she stuffed up her last job. If she was a used car salesman now, would anyone be calling for her head?

The reason she should get the arse is because she has the same employer - YOU Bowie and all Victorian taxpayers. Bracks and now Brumby continue to hire this incompetent at $300K and then some a year. I would have thought you'd want more for your buck than a person with no leadership abilities and hides when it gets too hot in the kitchen.
If she were a used car salesman the company would have fired her like the government should but governments don't like firing people like her because it puts the heat on them for hiring people like her in the first place.
