One of these just won the world cup, the other is a well know fictional detective

Not on topic Bowie, given I don't care about the current one BUT.....
I have a few gripes.
1. Is it just me, or is everyone else sick of people referring to their AFL team as the "Essendon Football Club", or "Port Adelaide Football Club"? If I'm listening to James Brayshaw talking about his team or Eddie McGuire about his I know who their referring to and what that particular club does. I don't wish to hear anymore that Alistair Clarkson coaches the Hawthorn Football Club, he coaches Hawthorn and I know what they do. This may be PR 101 but I don't care - I'm over it.
2. I'm watching a show for a few minutes on SBS on the Icelandic volcano that stopped air traffic in Europe for a weeks and I started wondering when Global Warming would be blamed for some reason. Lo and behold Global Warming does come up as a subject and indeed would contribute to more volcanic activity if the world continues to warm up according to the show. I was always told that if something was too good to be true then it usually is but we have discovered a theory that can safely explain everything bad that happens in the world. Could it be that Global Warming is fast becoming the reason/excuse to explain away anything that's a bit too hard to get your head around? I expect that people who are concerned about Global Warming are so concerned that they would be turning off their computers, TV's, lights, air conditioners and cars to stop the volcanos.
3. Who's Daniel Jackson and what is he doing on the Footy Show? Maybe Dustin Martin but this nobody shouldn't appear on any TV show.
There it is Bowie, thanks once again for this great site that gives me the opportunity to vent my spleen. I might do it more often.
I stumbled across that song on Max last weekend. I have to admit to not knowing who sang the original until coming across this aural delight. It was certainly a pleasant surprise.
I have since found out that they also perform the song that always seems to accompany Rodney Dangerfield when he is partying with kids.

On another note, a lot of people would have had a gutful of Glee and a song called "Don't stop believing".
Listen to the original from Journey and enjoy. (check out a live performance on Youtube)
What a cracking song, takes you back to the wonderful 80's when music used to pick you up and send shivers down your spine.
