Laughable rubbish from Neil Balme saying Ablett cost them any chance to be active in the trade period, "we haven't been able to plan for any kind of replacement for him". I thought the cats were one of the more professional teams going around, but this lack of planning is primary school stuff. Surely they should have prepared either way. Sounds like to me that they were too stuck up their own asses to even remotely entertain the notion of Gary leaving. Bad call cats, short sighted call, arrogant call.

I find it amazing. Every man, woman and dog suspected that he was leaving, surely a professional outfit would at least have some rough contingency plan.
Wheels are falling off at Catland.
That's why the Pies got rid of Balmy! Yeah, that's right - who's laughing now hey Balmy!
Genuinely Gazza made no commitment to either stay or go. Made Geelong's management all season long a distraction. Damn the Cold Ghost C***s for being endorsed by the AFL to pay Gazza 1.9M a year. I am sure if Flankin, Rough-Face or Swan were offered that they'd be dancing the Mare lin down the main street of Gold Coast. But i amsure Gazza was offered the huge bucks first, then Flankin, Riewoldt etc were probably offered say 900K.
