SPEAKING OF ELECTIONS
Ted Baillieu has come out of his self-imposed 3 year exile to run for Premier of our fair state. It's not a case of 'Where the bloody hell are ya?', more like, 'Where the fuck have you been?' You do nothing, say nothing, be nothing for the last 3 years, while Unelected Brumby and his mates run rampant doing as they please. Then as soon as an election is called, he crawls out of the woodwork and says 'Give me the top job'. Sorry Teddy boy, you've had years to build up and smash this mob and have done NOTHING. Brumby deserves to lose, but you my friend have absolutely no right to get in. I hope you do though, if only to see what that loud-mouth opposition spokesman Terry Mulder actually shit his pants on the first day of the job of being awarded the Transport Minister portfolio. Let's see what a smart ass he is when he actually needs to do something more than provide a grab for the 7am news potting the Government.

I've now learned that while the Libs get booted out of office because things are going well and "it's time for a change" the same thing never happens to Labor until the shit well and truly hits the fan. Clearly things are rotten in Victoria if Brumby is considered the less of two evils.
So Bowie, vote for the underserving Brumby government but if I hear you whinge about the state of affairs in Victoria you'll only be getting a "you've only got yourself to blame" from me.
Anyway, why don't you do something for the environment and vote for the greens even though shutting down Hazelwood may mean even you might need a second job to pay the bills.
Just exactly what do you expect the opposition to do other than try to keep a government accountable? In SA the same thing happened, everyone was wanting to know the costings of the Libs policies, yet the incompetant and corrupt bunch running the show got away with barely a mention and lo and behold they stay in office and everyone is bitching about the government again.
Bad governments need the boot, not a second or third chance.
I reckon Teddy has a chance. No one voted Brumby in, and I sense he is not all that popular.
